Mrs. Thomas’s 6th grade accelerated math students were up and moving during a gallery walk focused on proportional relationships! Students analyzed graphs, described the context, determined whether each relationship was proportional, and created tables and equations when possible.

🟦 Sorting, predicting, and discovering RATE in action! ⬜
Our students put their skills to the test with a Cube Sorting Experiment! 🧊⏱️ First, they predicted how many cubes they could sort by color in 10 seconds and 30 seconds—then it was time to test their theories!
After collecting their results, students compared their own sorting rates to those of machines, making real-world connections to our study of rate. 📊🤖

🥁 Making some noise in Intro to Band! 🎶 Our 7th grade beginning band students got hands-on today as they explored and tried out different percussion instruments! 💙⚜️

8th grade math students in Mrs. Pritchard’s and Mrs. Pickles’ classes were up and moving as they put their math skills to work! Students followed clues in a scavenger hunt while practicing converting numbers from standard form to scientific notation. 🔎✏️
