The last day for students to take AR tests will be July 22nd. The office is open for testing M-Th from 8 – 11 AM or by appointment at 225-635-3898. Students who do not get to test this summer WILL be able to test at the beginning of the school year.
Due to multiple scheduling conflicts, we are changing the date of the WFMS Student Orientation to Tuesday, July 27, 2021. Orientation will begin at 5:30 in the gym. This event is for all WFMS students (incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th graders). Ms. Ali McMillan presented at the Teacher Leader Conference in New Orleans this week on Exploring Nature Based Learning. Not only is she a SUPER STAR for WFMS, but she is creating opportunities for future explorers across our state. Go Saints 💙

Students should wear their normal school uniforms and will not need to bring their book sacks to school.

WFMS said BON VOYAGE to our 8th graders today as they walked out of the building for the last time. It has been 3 amazing years. We wish you all the best as you embark on your high school journey 💙
Our 7th graders had a blast last week at WETLANDS DAY. They learned about the importance of the Louisiana Coast and how to protect it through hands-on activities led by volunteers from the LSU Ag Center and 4-H.
Our 6th graders engaged in hands-on learning activities designed to raise awareness about Louisiana's Coast as part of WETLAND'S DAY thanks to a partnership with the LSU Ag Center and 4-H.
Note from WFMS—This is a reminder that VIRTUAL STUDENTS should drop off supplies at the front entrance of the school TODAY from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM. This includes computers, chargers, hot spots, calculators, class novels, and library books.

Note from WFMS—FINAL RECOGNITION PROGRAMS take place Tuesday, May 18th. 8th grade–8:30 AM in the gym. Families will receive 2 tickets per student (also livestreamed). 6th & 7th grade–1:00 PM for students only (livestreamed for parents).
Note from WFMS—Tomorrow is SAINTS SPIRIT DAY. Wear royal blue and white or any WFMS T-shirt. Students can wear school appropriate shorts and crocs or slides. Concessions-$1. Pizza-$2 a slice.
