WFMS students wrapped up the first week of school with some FRIDAY FUNTIME 😎
Good morning all, I need you to bring your key cards to Ms. Washington this morning. We are getting them all reprogrammed for the new access panels.
IT’S TIME FOR FALL SPORTS! 🏈 FOOTBALL meeting after school tomorrow for anyone interested. Bring a notebook and pen. Pick up at the gym at 4:30 PM. 🏐 VOLLEYBALL tryouts take place 8/19 & 8/20. Pick up at the gym at 5 PM. 🏃♀ CROSS COUNTRY practice starts Monday for boys and girls. Meet Coach Foster in the gym after school. Pick up at WFHS stadium at 4 PM. Signup sheets for all sports are posted in the gym.

The last day for students to take AR tests will be July 22nd. The office is open for testing M-Th from 8 – 11 AM or by appointment at 225-635-3898. Students who do not get to test this summer WILL be able to test at the beginning of the school year.
Due to multiple scheduling conflicts, we are changing the date of the WFMS Student Orientation to Tuesday, July 27, 2021. Orientation will begin at 5:30 in the gym. This event is for all WFMS students (incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th graders). We hope you can join us to meet faculty and staff, take ID/yearbook photos, tour the campus, pick up course schedules, pay fees, purchase PE uniforms and sign up for clubs!

It was a clean sweep 🧹 for our cheerleaders at camp this week! 1st place 🏆 in everything & GAMEDAY CHAMPS!! We are sooo proud!! 💙

Ms. Ali McMillan presented at the Teacher Leader Conference in New Orleans this week on Exploring Nature Based Learning. Not only is she a SUPER STAR for WFMS, but she is creating opportunities for future explorers across our state. Go Saints 💙

Students should wear their normal school uniforms and will not need to bring their book sacks to school.

We said a bittersweet farewell to our 8th grade students this morning in their Final Recognition Program. We will surely miss them!

WFMS said BON VOYAGE to our 8th graders today as they walked out of the building for the last time. It has been 3 amazing years. We wish you all the best as you embark on your high school journey 💙
Our 7th graders had a blast last week at WETLANDS DAY. They learned about the importance of the Louisiana Coast and how to protect it through hands-on activities led by volunteers from the LSU Ag Center and 4-H.
Our 6th graders engaged in hands-on learning activities designed to raise awareness about Louisiana's Coast as part of WETLAND'S DAY thanks to a partnership with the LSU Ag Center and 4-H.
