We are excited to celebrate our October Employees of the Month, Ms. Baylie Doiron and Mrs. Stacey Hodges!
Ms. Doiron is a second grade teacher who is always willing to lend a helping hand. She supports her second grade team and works hard to put together Synergy Assemblies each year. She is a wonderful support to the second grade team but also helps hold them accountable to get work done. She works with her team to challenge ideas but always brings solutions. She is a team player and a go getter!
Mrs. Hodges is a Math Interventionist and works with students all across our school. She has taken charge of her new role and has developed tracking systems for math data. She studies each grade levels curriculum so she can help prepare them and support all students in push-in classes. She shows kindness each day, covers and assists classes without hesitation, and is willing to do anything that is asked with a smile.
Congratulations and thank you for being amazing members of the Bains team! 💙

We are excited to celebrate our October Employees of the Month, Mrs. Brooke Lambert and Mrs. Alaina LaCour!
Mrs. Brooke is a Paraprofessional who genuinely cares and loves each and every student she works with, as if they were her own. She has stepped up in many ways throughout the first nine weeks and has gone above and beyond to ensure her students are provided with routine, organization, and consistency in their classroom environment.
Mrs. LaCour is a first grade teacher who brings joy to the first grade hall and beyond! Though it may not always be easy, she shows up each day with her bubbly personality, garnering excitement for learning within her students. She has helped her Bains team in many ways, helping substitutes with lessons, teaching a lesson for a teacher who is out, and is always willing to stop what she is doing to help others! Congratulations and thank you for being amazing members of the Bains team! 💙

After a long process, due to the amazing group of candidates we had, we are happy to announce our 5th grade Student of the Year! Please join us in congratulating him on this exciting accomplishment! 💙🤍💙

Saints, we are honoring our heroes this Veterans Day! 🇺🇸
Join us Tuesday, November 11th at 9:00 AM in the West Feliciana Middle School Gym for a special Veterans Day Program.
Grades attending: 1st, 5th, 7th, and 11th
Parents are welcome! You may check your student(s) out at 8:30 and back in after the ceremony — this will be an excused check in/out.
Let’s come together to celebrate and thank the brave men and women who have served our country! ❤️🤍💙

Wishing this wonderful group of 5th grade students good luck today during their Student of the Year interviews! These students have maintained academic excellence throughout their years here at Bains and are leaders on and off campus. We are so proud of all of you!

Native American Day is typically the 4th Friday in September. Our fifth graders celebrated by reading a creation story, drinking tea, and making tipis. The students have studied and written about how the Nez Perce used their natural resources for food/drink and shelter. Students were surprised to find out that the tea we drink today comes from the same plants Native Americans used hundreds of years ago. We love this hands-on learning experience! 🪘🦬🍵🪶🦅

We are getting excited about the Bains Fun Run taking place next Tuesday here at Bains! This Sunday will be the last day for collecting donations. This is our big annual fundraiser, taking the place of our traditional wrapping paper/cookie dough sales. All students will participate in the Fun Run and students will participate in additional activities based on the amount they collect. Our students are getting excited about this fun day and as always, we are thankful for your support of our school!

There is nothing SPOOKY about these yummy meals! Check out the Bains Cafeteria October menus!

Ms. Wilson is a Special Education teacher. "She has done an amazing job of being the teacher of one of our most special populations of students. She has gone above and beyond as a first-year teacher by bringing organization, routine, and structure to her classroom and students."
