It’s a great day at Bains Lower... even when it’s raining!!!!!




Today, Mrs. Holmes read the book, “Jack and the Beanstalk” to Pre-K and had the students retell the story by using art in the form of acting and music. The students were given the opportunity to use props and musical instruments while retelling the story.




Wendy Rodrigue stopped by Bains Lower Elementary to donate a piece of artwork to our school! During her visit, she also read a story to our students and shared some of her late husband’s art work!! Thank you Mrs. Rodrigue!!!




This week in STEM students will continue their exploration on buoyancy by making Mayflower ships (vessels) and testing how many pilgrims it can hold (weight it can carry) before capsizing.




This morning in Mrs. Viguerie's First grade class students review sight words they mastered last week before being introduced to this weeks words!


This morning in Mrs. St. Romains class kids are singing ,dancing , and practicing vowels with the vowel bat song.

In STEM this week students learned about buoyancy and density. They applied that knowledge to change the buoyancy of popcorn kernels by creating a chemical reaction!



Assistant Principal Elizabeth Bristow and the Pre-K team work extremely hard during Thursday PLC’s to find ways to continue to increase student achievement!

Mrs. Bowman’s Pre-K engineers are pleased with the results of the plan they designed in creating a wind maze!
