Reflecting on Last Week 

  • Congratulations go to Mr. Andrew Webb, Bains Lower Custodian, and Ms. Taylor Adams, Bains Elementary Teacher, for December Employee of the Month!  The employee of the month is recognized for going above and beyond.  

  • Congratulations goes to Destiny Carter, A'njalei Rogers, Daelyn Weaver, Trelencia Johnson and Keyana Cummings for making the Volleyball All District First Team!  A special SHOUT OUT! goes to Trelencia Johnson for being named the Defensive Player of the Year!

  • You are never too young to open doors!  Jamie D. and Mariah S. open doors for their fellow students in Head Start.

  • WFMS Honor Roll students and students with perfect attendance receive a special treat! The students received ice cream sandwiches during a student scholar celebration! 

  • Time flies when you are having fun!  The annual ring ceremony for WFHS Juniors was held this week. #classof2020

  • WFMS students, Jayden Reynolds and Morgan Barbe, work on a DBQ online project about the Great Wall.

  • A SHOUT OUT! goes to Bains Top fundraiser seller, Azareon Jarvis, 2nd grader!

  • Students, Ryan Johnson, Myles Cloud, Ashton Williams, LaDanien Singleton, and Ja'Vante Vessel, enjoy seeing their chicks hatching in Mrs Tammi Priddy's class!

  • A SHOUT OUT! goes to Mr. Harold Henderson and Geno Rogillio for keeping our schools functioning through hard work and persistence.

  • CNA girls learning how to correctly re-position a patient today in Ms. Cristy Walker's class.  

 

 

  • Taylor Summers, Ben Ferguson, and Treyse Andrus are conducting research for their English class with Ms. Janet Lathrop's guidance.

 

  • Joe DeJean is conducting research on locations he would like to visit to create web mix in Symbaloo while learning digital tools in Keyboarding class. 

  • Tre Washington and Paul Mascagni are using Chromebooks to read a book during Coach Sparks R2L group. 

  • Cadets in NJROTC program have their annual holiday and tree decorating party after school.

  • Bains students celebrate Accelerated Reader (AR) success in Ms. Lindsay Gilliam's class by receiving free pizza hut certificates.

  • Ms. Ali McMillan, WFMS Teacher, presents to a large audience at the National Council of Social Studies in conjunction with the National Geographic Educator Certification program in Chicago. 

  • Daylon Butler and Jack Louis are intently reading during R2L.

  • WFMS students participate in the Bowling Olympics games at All Star Lanes in Baton Rouge.

  • Bains students do a great job of reading before school!

  • Ms. Teresa Pritchard uses a dry erase table to teach solving equations to Christopher Turner, Rayshon Franklin, Er'Nyra Tolliver, and Kylie Sullivan.

  • Braylon Ferguson, Gavin Cloud, and Shemar Howard are working in a group to match expressions with the correct word problem in Ms. Teresa Pritchard's class.

  • Mrs. Jenna Yantis and Mrs. Cherie Reich taught their students how to recognize five objects within a group in a variety of different variations.

  • Ms. Danielle Ewing taught her students about heavy and light in today's math lesson.  She also introduced a new math tool (balance scale) that they would use to compare objects.

  • Bains Lower Elementary students would like to send a huge thank you to Ms. Kathy Welch and Ms. Linda Courtney for gifting the students books for Christmas!  

  • The Family Service Center hosted a Health Service Advisory and Quality Assurance meeting on November 29, 2018!  A special thanks to all who participated in an effort to ensure the greatest care of our students.

  • Da'Vean Tuniors and Jackson McKell are comparing and contrasting Jefferson's and Hamilton's political views in Ms. April Davis' class. 

  • Thomas Haile, Da'Vionte Dixon, Caden Johnson, Dwight Gwin celebrate their success on Accelerated Reader at Bains Lower!

  • Last Saturday, WFHS had 80 juniors and seniors from 8-12 participating in AP and ACT prep!
