West Feliciana Middle and High School students planted marsh grass in Pecan Island on April 12 through a partnership with The 300, a Louisiana coastal restoration group.

Students from both schools have visited the Water Campus in Baton Rouge and will attend an international conference in May to hear about coastal restoration from experts from around the world.

The partnership was initiated by West Feliciana Superintendent Hollis Milton and T. Bradley Keith, executive director of The 300.
