Last Day for Students ~ May 21

Reflecting on Last Week

  • West Feliciana High School graduation cohort increases to 91.1, which is the highest in 4 years and 2nd highest in school history! WFHS' graduation rate has increased by 18.4 points since 2005. In addition, 18% of the senior class earned Advanced credentials and 65% earned Basic credentials. Again, this is record breaking for the district as students continue to earn college credit with dual enrollment, AP, and CLEP, and earn a variety of industry based certifications.

  • A SPECIAL THANKS goes to all of our custodians who work so hard to make sure our schools are clean, safe, and run properly for our students and fellow employees!

  • As their community service project in their Careers elective, Preston Hilliard, Chandler Jones, Andrew Dedon, Tre Cain, and Darrien Street came up with the idea of an 8th grade competition to bring in donations for the WF food bank.  Ms. Shellee Harvey's social studies students vs. Ms. Margaret Anne Pruitt's students. The winning classes would earn free time outside for games during social studies time and free dress.  Over 500 items were donated!  The response was so overwhelming that all 8th graders were winners!  We are so proud of these eighth-grade students who are making a difference and serving others in our community.
