4-H is more than the raising and showing of livestock and horses. Students may participate in cooking, sewing, fashion, archery, photography, riflery, and other areas of interest. 4-H gives students the chance not only to learn new skills, but also give to others through community projects. In the past, 4-H students have brought their pets to the nursing home to brighten the day of our elderly people. 4-H also conducts fund raisers -- the sweet potatoes are so good they almost sell themselves! 4-H also tries to take a field trip each year. Last year we went bowling and to the planetarium. Parent volunteers are invited to participate in many club activities. Any student or parent interested in 4-H, see Ms. Jewell, or call the 4-H office at 635-3614.
