Landry Higgins, a West Feliciana High School senior, has been selected as a member of the Louisiana Legislative Youth Advisory Council.
She has maintained above a 4.0 GPA since freshman year. She has been on the tennis and mock trial teams throughout high school, is an officer of the Beta Club and representative for student government.
Higgins has spent a lot of time creating and running the Alliance Club, which is based on promoting equality and educating her school on social issues, a news release said. She has also helped run a voter registration day for seniors at her high school. Higgins hopes to help her peers through the Louisiana Legislative Youth Advisory Council.
