  • WFHS students learn welding on our campus and at Baton Rouge Community College at Folkes in Jackson.  These students have an opportunity to progress and gain National Craft Assessment and Certification (NCCER).  Students leaving this program with a certification have an opportunity to gain job employment post high school that is high demand and high wage.  A special thanks goes to WFHS Coach Robb Odom, Mr. Johnny Arceneaux, Baton Rouge Community College Director at the Folkes campus in Jackson, and his team for making this program a success.

Corey Holiday showcases a successful weld that is able to withstand tremendous pressure.

Kelin Moore, Koby Bangham, Bri'Darrius Bailey, Chris Emery, Colin Wilson, and Coach Odom take a break for a picture.

Colin Wilson shows off his work on beading which is very difficult and takes a steady hand and concentration.
